Stormtroopers conversion 2: building hot-shot guns and upgrading faces

Building hot-shot guns and upgrading faces to some troopers. My Imperial Guard Stormtroopers need a second conversion, part one

WIP of six hot-shot lasguns and two plasma guns:
I'm using lasguns too to build hot-shot lasguns, not only space marine bolters. Now the guns are assembled, but they need a lot of green stuff...

Upgrading faces
As you see, I'm building much more possible before working on the stormtrooper miniatures (rule: minimize the damage).
So here a pair of facial plastics:

This miniature has no more his original face, but Sly Marbo owns (do you recognise his small nose? damn Mark Bedford!!). It was not well painted.. it reminded me a carachter of 300 movie.... Now I paint right eye in the right place and I cover left eye with the optic lens.
I'm quite satisfied by the result.

Second facial plastic. I've removed original mask, this face came from Chimera crewman, but I'm not so sure. It was horrible, now, with green stuff and a bit of color, it's better. Is it?

Stormtroopers conversion 1: the project

Close combat weapon to Imperial Guard Stormtroopers...
I've done a great mistake. A very hard conversion to build a strange Stormtrooper squad, with close combat weapon... (it was an option of old 3rd edition codex) And the Sergeant has an Eviscerator. Absurd.
May they be good for an Inquisitor retinuee? I don't know, but I'm sure that these Stormtroopers are wrong for the Imperial Guard. They need a second conversion, they need their hotshot lasguns. So...

The new two Stormtrooper squads:
Stormtroopers squad with plasma guns
Stormtroopers squad with melta guns
I draw the project. I still have the original pieces of the hotshot lasgun that I'll complete with plastic bolter.
Rules to follow:
  • all Stormtroopers must have guns, Sergeants too
  • every single Stormtrooper must be different from others
  • minimize the damage to miniatures.

Building the hot-shot lasgun:
It's not easy, but the first is almost completed, it need some green stuff. It belongs to plasma squad Sergeant.

Binocular to cover Stormtrooper face:
One of the Imperial Guard Stormtrooper has a horrible face. So I could cover it with a binocular or a telescope...

Catachan Earthsharks Veterans and Grenadiers

Photo details of Catachan veterans. Each squad has a small icon on the head.

Whole Catachan Veterans squads. The first with meltaguns and shotguns, others two have lascannon and Sergeant with power fist. Sergeants are new Catachan officers, one of them has a self-made power fist, another a self-made shotgun. Do they look like Armageddon Ork-hunters?

Catachan Grenadier Squads. They have plasmaguns from Chaos Space Marines and helmets and shoulder pads from plastic Chaos Marauders. One grenadier for each squad has an armoured shield, from old plastic Bretonnian miniatures. He could be the Sergeant. Some Grenadiers wear bear and moustache because they are Veterans. Self-made hellguns are made by flamer and lasgun.

Detail of the helmet. Each Catachan Granadier have a small nickname.

TSF Company Command Squad

T.S.F. (Tridentum Sector Force) Company Command Squad.
The squad include four old Stormtroopers: one sergeant with Auspex and three Guards with plasma guns. There are also the Krieg standard bearer Veteran, the Captain from Solar Macharius miniature, the Commissar and a mascotte.

Captain Hero Gerico, Solar Macharius conversion with power fist and plastic Caos Marauder head modified, sculpting hair with green stuff, like Solar Macharius on 3rd edition Imperial Guard codex.

Imperial Commissar and Regiment Mascotte. The lion is scupted with green stuff.
Krieg Standard Bearer Veteran. Torso and arms come from Imperial Commissar, face from old Space Marine Sergeant, helmet by a toy soldier. I was inspired by a GW draw about Armageddon War.

The flag is made by dry vinavil. The emblem: a white sabre and a purple snake, scupted with green stuff.

Stormtroopers conversion: old and new ones

Imperial Guard Stormtroopers Sergeants: new VS old:
The veteran sergeants. Sergeant on the left has a two-hands chainsword ( from imperial missionary, Eviscerator?). Arms are self-made. Other Sergeant has additional equipment and a melta bomb (from Culexus assassin skull).
Uniforms are black, like SAS or GIS special forces.

Old Imperial Guard Stormtroopers with Beret:
Old Stormtroopers squad (the "Imperial Guard Beret Stormtroopers"). Codename: Black Devils. I've cut plastic storm troopers body and replace plastic heads (they were all the same...) with metal heads from heavy weapon team. Originally lasguns were different, so I've modified the metal variant, to be similar to the plastic one.

update 01/02/2015: Beret Stormtroopers new conversion

Imperial Guard Stormtroopers with close combat weapon (I was mad):
Squad Gamma. New Stormtroopers (modified from 3rd edition) with sword, pistols and grenades. Two of them have meltaguns, other two are throwing frag granades. I've cut off masks from someone to paste faces from other miniatures. Arms are made with plastic arms from Space Marines and green stuff. Mad conversions... Original Sergeant has a self-made bag and the bionic arm replaced with a common arm.
