Legions Imperialis 4: Space Wolves

Dusk Raiders or Space Wolves? Good question, I don't like the grey-blue livery of the 40K Space Wolves. Horus Heresy Wolves are darker, so I choose a warmer grey and then nobody identify them as Wolves, but rather as Sons of Horus or Dusk Raiders... It's wrong, Horus' Wolves are green! Instead Dusk Raiders fit together perfectly (it's good, loyalist Death Guard is something I love.)

 

I've found the solution: a big wolf head on the standard. Space Wolves would need viking shields and furs too. I don't like crests on Mk6 helmet, I modify them all.

My small Legion Demy-Company to learn to play. There is a second HQ because I'm planning to deploy a Brethren of Iron force. 

Legion Contemptor Dreadnought Talon. It's a pity Dreadnoughts do not have any armour decoration, they must be decorated like Cataphracts, in my opinion.

Two Legion Tactical Detachments, mixed units, so high versatile.

My two Solar Auxilia Pioneer Companies can not deploy all the Tarantula Batteries (I've bought two boxes, 24 Tarantules e 24 Rapiers...). So, I paint these extra 6 Tarantules with Legion colours.

An alternative for the Bastion Detachment available in the Legion Demi-Company is deploying four Deredeos. I'm selfmaking them with extra legs and weapons, but, by the way, modelling in this scale is not a easy task. 

Removing most of the undercuts it is not a easy task, too. I've no pictures about it, but I've had to work on each single trooper, except for Cataphracts and Assault Marines and few other ones. (In this picture there is the making of Praetor's Iron Halo; I've already modify the helm crest.) 

Now it's the turn of the Legion Sky-Hunter Phalanx...

Stormtroopers' Chimera part 5: restoring lasguns and dozer blade

Stormtroopers' Chimera (codename Neropardus) looks like not complete, so I restore lasguns and add a dozer blade, which I get from... the wings of the Light Attack Craft Erithacus (don't worry, Erithacus has new operational wings).

 

Restoring the dozer blade:

I get lasguns from the Chimera assigned to Catachan Jungle Fighters. These ones have more recent type of lasguns, so their Chimera must have some, too.

One of the lasguns is selfmade... find it!

So, my Never Ending Story has finally ended...
